Al largo San Pietro a Corte è ubicato uno dei complessi monumentali più importanti della città di Salerno. La campagna di scavi ha restituito diversi livelli di questo sito pluristratificato. Il complesso include un’area ipogeica, la Cappella di Sant’Anna, il campanile, l’Aula superiore di rappresentanza o Chiesa di San Pietro a Corte o Cappella Palatina. - At Largo San Pietro a Corte is located one of the most important monumental complexes of the city of Salerno. The excavation campaign has returned several levels of this multilayered site. The complex includes an underground area, the Chapel of Sant'Anna, the bell tower, the upper representative hall or the Church of San Pietro a Corte or the Palatine Chapel.
Nel 700 fu realizzata una scala d'ingresso alla stessa chiesa che conduce ad un protiro con un timpano sostenuto da colonne.

Lato ovest della cappella scalinata e Porta che consente l’accesso alla chiesa dall’esterno. L'interno è a navata unica con abside. -West side of the chapel stairway and door which allows access to the church from the outside. The interior has a single nave with an apse.

Bifora - Una è posta sulla facciata nord verso lo spigolo occidentale della Cappella, composta da archi in mattoni a tutto sesto, pulvino sorretto da un capitello altomedioevale e colonna marmorea di spoglio. - Bifora - One is located on the north facade towards the western corner of the chapel, consisting of brick arches, pulvin supported by an early medieval capitals and marble column counting.
La chiesa fu poi abbellita con la tavola lignea collocata sull’altare centrale. la tavpòa fu realizzata nel 1592 dal pittore Decio Tramontano e mostra i Santi Ciro, Giovanni Crisostomo, Pietro e Paolo che presentano alla Vergine e al Bambino Gesù. - The church was decorated with wooden panel located on the central altar; it was made in 1592 by the painter Decio Tramontano and shows the Saints Ciro, Giovanni Crisostomo, Pietro and Paolo presenting to the Virgin and Child Jesus
